Terms of Service

By creating an account or using AcadLink ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

These Terms are an agreement between you and the individual student developer who operates AcadLink. The Platform is not officially affiliated with or operated by Vidya Vihar institution.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

AcadLink is intended exclusively for current students, faculty, and staff of Vidya Vihar. Registration requires a valid institutional email address.

You must be at least 13 years of age. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.

Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You may not create multiple accounts or an account on behalf of someone else.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us at support@acadlink.app immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must provide accurate information at registration and keep your profile up to date.

AcadLink is a space for genuine campus connection. You agree not to post content that is abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or hateful toward any individual or group; contains spam or unsolicited commercial messages; impersonates another person or institution; infringes on intellectual property rights; contains malware or phishing links; spreads misinformation; or violates any applicable law of India.

Violation of these standards may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination without prior notice.

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute your content for the purpose of operating the Platform.

You confirm your content does not violate any third-party rights. We may remove content that violates these Terms at our sole discretion.

Once posted, your content may be seen by other registered users. Removal does not guarantee copies do not exist elsewhere.

Notices, events, opportunities, and resources posted by admin accounts are for informational purposes. We do not guarantee their accuracy or completeness.

Always verify important academic information — exam schedules, deadlines, and official announcements — through official institutional channels. AcadLink is a supplementary platform, not a substitute for official college communications.

Images and files you upload are processed and stored via Cloudinary. By uploading, you agree to Cloudinary's terms of service.

You must not upload content that is illegal, obscene, or violates intellectual property rights. Do not upload copyrighted educational materials without the rights holder's permission.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, prolonged inactivity, or if your account poses a risk to other users.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Your data will be removed from public view within 30 days; encrypted backups may persist for up to 90 days.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED AS IS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED ACCESS OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed ₹1,000 (Indian Rupees one thousand).

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Indian courts.
